Gathering and Sewing System model “CONCEPT”
Our newest innovation in gathering and sewing THE SMYTH CONCEPT comprised of a gathering machine with horizontal signature loading connected in line to one or more Smyth book sewing machine. This ergonomically simple design is operator friendly with easy loading of signatures to each sewing machine and the unloading of sewn book block piles.
Because of the advanced technical features of the gathering/sewing line it is possible to connect to an automatic palletizer or a perfect binder (optional)
The patented design of the Smyth Gathering Machine gives the space saving advantage that each pocket of the gatherer can be used with one or two signatures depending on the size. In example the gatherer can run in the same pocket, one signature with a size up to 640mm or, in alternative, two signatures in sequential order have a size head to tail of up to 320mm. With this design the floor space required for this line is greatly reduced. |
