The patented design of the Smyth feeder transports the signatures through the openers in a shingled stream by means of geared belts.
This unique opening system has the signatures traveling at 50% of the speed of the sewing machine at a 2 to 1 ratio
All other conventional automatic feeders cycle at a 1 to 1 ratio.
Example: Smyth sewing machine cycles at 100cpm, feeder cycles at 50cpm. Other sewers cycle at 100cpm, feeder cycles at 100cpm |
